It’s been a busy day at Discover. We made a large pickup from the Food Bank of the Rockies for our pantry and were able to get a chest freezer to accommodate the larger load at the church. Right after our pick-up though, we received a call that the food bank is suspending agency partner orders for the time being while they focus on some of the larger distributors. While it is disappointing for us, we understand that they have to do what is most efficient and services the greatest amount of people safely. Fortunately, the pickup we did today was a decent size and we are working on a distribution list of people in need in our surrounding neighborhood so we can perform a front porch drop distribution on Sunday as well as accommodate other clients who contact us for appointments. From this point, until they reinstate regular ordering at the food bank, we will rely more heavily on local donations. We will let you know more as we move forward.
Pastor Bob has been working with our tech and worship teams to make sure things go smoothly for this weekend’s live stream only services. Littles, Kids, and Youth will post in their various social media groups things to keep our kids engaged, including curriculum and lessons for the weekend so make sure to check those out.
As always, if you ever have any questions on how to find groups, live stream services, or need pantry assistance, please just email email@example.com.
Blessings and see you tomorrow!
